2013 'Gold Standard' no 5 is a blend of:
  • Genesis high 2nd fraction
  • Bishop backyard 2nd fraction

Tasting recently after bottling (September 2014)
  • Color: Light to medium yellow.
  • Smell: Rather open and quite accessible, broad and rich Riesling character, silky and stylish, fresh fruit as well as dried fruit, very appealing smell.
  • Taste: Fantastic taste combining style and richness, sugar barely detectable, firm but very round acidity, mouth filling, pure and likable. Long lush after taste.
  • Judgment: Ideal for accompanying all kind of food. Consume at 13 ºC. Ideally the wine need 1 year in bottle to age beautifully. In 3 years, this wine will be kid brother to what The Stamp is for the moment.
 
Tasting summer 2017
  • Color: Medium yellow.
  • Smell: No end of ripe apples, charming and inviting smell, pure and stylish.
  • Taste: Supportive acidity to a soft and totally pure wine.
  • Judgment: Contrary to 'All of a kind', there is no botrytis in this wine, making it a bit better to stand the time.

Decanter tasting protocol:
Youthful apple blossom, lemon zest. pineapple and ginger on the nose match the palate perfectly. A pineapple, sherbet sweetness with balanced acidity. A Riesling which is pure in its expression, delicate, refined and delightful.
