The 2016 label theme is traveling in Indochina. During such trip, you encounter a lot of local markets, which trigs a never ending fashion mania.
Weather
In summer 2016, the maximum temperature were slightly over 30 degree only in few occasions, and the vines were not stressed by the heat. There were just enough rain showers to avoid the vines being stressed from drought.
For late harvesters, October 2016 was a real mess with cold weather and much rain. Consequently, the sugar growth in Riesling was moderate and the acidity got high and was preserved all the way to harvest in October.

A bit sweet in the smell, accompanied by green apples, pear, and some banana. |

Taste |
Typical Sandahl Riesling of classic style, with fatness and acidity in great balance, and a hint of gooseberry. The wine is still unintegrated and heterogeneous, and need some months to harmonize. |

Judgment |
Ready for consumption right from bottling, although a year of bottle age would be very beneficial. |
